A 260 sq km wildlife sanctuary in the Western Ghats — leopards, sloth bears, 240+ bird species, and the ancient Pitalkhora rock-cut caves. Listings not live yet.

Eco-tourism is one of three enterprise areas GroundUp incubates, alongside nature-positive products and landscape restoration. Pangi Tourism is one of the community-led conservation enterprises in that portfolio — which is why its homestays are listed here: not a booking site bolted onto an NGO, but one of GroundUp's own enterprises, run entirely by the valley itself.

Pangi Valley lies in Chamba district, in the far north of Himachal Pradesh — cut off from the rest of the state for much of the winter by snow-bound mountain passes.
